Taught by Daniel Region–who has
worked with Ms. Cameron and known her for more than 30 years–the 12-week course
will be held at SOL Acting
Academy, 5500 San Mateo Blvd NE, Suite 114, Albuquerque NM (across from Cliff’s
Amusement Park),
Those interested may call Mr. Region
at 518 755-2830.
The Course consists of working
through each of the 12 individual chapters of Ms. Cameron’s landmark book–which
has sold over 4 million copies.
Mr. Region also compliments the
course by folding in information contained in several of her subsequent works
including, Vein of Gold and Walking in This World –The
Artist’s Way 12-Week Course is an uplifting and empowering program for
aspiring artists and professional/ working artists, writers, poets, actors,
painters, musicians, and creative individuals from all walks of life. The
course is also highly beneficial for those in the business world.
According to Mr. Region,
"Creative expression is a natural impulse, but it can get derailed, side-tracked,
or sabotaged by our own insecurities or by the interference of others. Whether
someone is a working artist or a closet Picasso, creative individuals face very
common issues and ‘blocks,’ which are easy to overcome once they are recognized
and acknowledged with the help of simple, powerful tools. Even among those of
us who have a copy of The Artist’s Way sitting on our bookshelf at home,
it is very typical for the most well-intentioned artist to get through four or
five chapters and give up. I know, I’ve done it myself! But when The
Artist’s Way process is conducted in a group, the synergetic and supportive
dynamic makes it far easier to put the material into practice and reap the
rewards. It becomes a joyful, sharing experience, and one that can change the
course of your life."
Mr. Region’s 12-week course enables participants to joyfully reclaim, recover, rediscover, and build their creativity while overcoming and learning to avoid the artistic stumbling blocks that prevent the artist within from realizing his/her full potential. The Artist’s Way is a very powerful program and will change the course of your life.

ABOUT DAN REGION:
A resident of Albuquerque, Mr. Region worked with Ms. Cameron prior to the publication of The Artist’s Way and was an instructor at her "Creativity Camps" in New Mexico. A multi-disciplined artist, he has been a professional actor for over 30 years, initially trained in New York City under the guidance of John Strasberg, Geraldine Page, Madeline Thornton Sherwood, Shirley Knight and Shelly Winters. He appeared on Broadway in Torch Song Trilogy, was a founding member of the Pearl Theatre Company, an Off-Broadway classical theatre company, and appeared in numerous Off-Broadway productions. Additionally, he has a variety of film and television roles to his credit, as well as hundreds of on-camera and voice-over commercials, and has produced, written, and directed two independent short films. And when The Artist’s Way participants sit back, close their eyes, and listen to Mr. Region speak, they will probably recognize his voice as The Voice of the daytime television drama, As The World Turns–an off-screen "role" he played for seventeen years.
Due to encouragement of Julia Cameron and The Artist’s Way, Mr. Region turned his talents to writing, producing several feature length screenplays, numerous plays, two novels, and Tales from Thurmons Corners, a fictional memoir set on the Midwestern prairie. He is currently at work penning a third novel, Wolves at Your Door, and for four years wrote the popular column, From The Road.
